About the Job


This position serves on the Strategic Communications team within KHI. The Graphic Designer will work closely with project staff in implementing communications strategies (with emphasis on design and digital content) and measuring the impact of these efforts. This role will have primary responsibility for design and layout for communications efforts (print, web, social media) using design standards to best represent KHI’s brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage KHI’s website for design and graphics, working closely with other Communications’ staff members.
Perform layout/design on publications.
Maintain image library (stock images, photography) for Communications team.
Design marketing and other collateral material to support KHI brand.
Design invitations and event materials.
Maintain/enhance PowerPoint template.
Serve as primary resource for video production.
Maintain KHI Style Guide updates and enhancements.
Schedule and execute social media posts.
Quarterly reporting on social media analytics.
Understand the role strategic communication plays in conveying actionable information.
Other duties may be assigned.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment. Use of computer, printer/copier, multi-line phone system. Frequent interaction with executive and project staff. Subject to interruptions. High-energy environment. Multi-tasking required.

Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint)
Creative thinking
Proficiency of digital/social media tools and analytics
Layout/design proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite knowledge required, specifically Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)
Time management/multi-tasking
Attention to detail
Photography and video editing skills desired


Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, advertising or related discipline required. Minimum of 1-3 years of job experience in graphic design and social media activities (work samples required).
