The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned to him or her during his or her shift or tour of duty. He or she provides nursing services following the patient’s treatment plan or physician’s directions, assesses patients and responds to and reports any changes in condition, distributes and charts medications, and responds to emergencies.
The ideal candidate has a diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred), holds a current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse, and has one to three years of experience in the field. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

Position is full time - Sign on bonus available


Provides planned clinical services (such as administering medications, treatments, and other services prescribed by the physician) and reports unusual findings to the physician
Responds to clinical emergencies, provides first aid and triage, and supervises transfers to an acute care provider
Incorporates the principles and standards of Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) by participating in problem identification and solution-focused task forces
Monitors and ensures that clinical services are provided and documented fully and accurately according to physician orders, care plans, established standards, and the company's mission and policies
Distributes and documents medications (including narcotics) according to established standards and regulations
Helps with charting of all clinical and nursing care provided to clients and ensures charting is accurate, done in a timely manner, and meets established standards and regulations
Provides overall management and implementation of resident care plan and documents in care plan resident’s progress and change in condition
Performs other duties as assigned

Current state license as a Registered Nurse
One to three years of relevant experience
Knowledge of state and local regulations regarding long term care
Communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with residents, staff, and providers
Able to problem solve and work effectively with others
Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled
Able to bend, kneel, squat, and stand as needed
Able to lift 20-30 pounds frequently and 50-80 pounds occasionally
Able to work a variable and flexible schedule
